Things to Do
Every Sunday from June through September, Basalt comes alive with vendors displaying assorted handcrafted wares and locally grown produce at the vibrant Farmer’s Market. Sway to the rhythm of the live music as you pick up fresh pastries, veggies, and flowers for the house. Athletic personalities will readily jump on a chance to run a scenic backcountry marathon along the historic Rio Grande Trail for the popular Aspen Marathon.
Reel in the thrill and excitement of Fly Fishing tournaments at the gold medal Frying Pan River, Roaring Fork River, and Colorado River, known to sometimes host the US National Fly Fishing Tournaments!
